I am  a professional art educator and practicing artist.

Retired  from  San José State University after teaching for twenty four years in the  School of Art and Art History  in the Art Education .  I was the Department Coordinator and concurrently the  Director for ARTPATH, an artist in elementary schools in Santa Clara County.

I have been inspired by the landscapes of California, particularly those of Santa Cruz County creating works on paper with dry pastel and more recently cactus images from my  front porch collection and series in acrylic paint. The works also includes mixed media sculptures that  strives to capture my spirit and whimsical nature .

The study of  multicultural arts has greatly influenced my own work.  This current series, front porch cacti  reflects the colors and patterns found in Central and South American folk art.
